Carpet glue offers a simple, no-mess solution to secure a carpet, rug, or mat in position for a dependable hold when track strips are not a viable option.

A resilient carpet tape, sized 36 - 50 yards in length, is perfect to stick carpets to a vast array of floor surfaces, such as linoleum, concrete, tile, foam, etc.

A tape is seen in a multitude of adhesive properties, sizes, and styles to stick outdoor or indoor carpets, artificial turfs, foams to synthetic-backed rugs, and watercraft carpets, including those for a deck boat or pontoon boat.

Installing carpet with double-sided tape is often a simple process to complete, even for all those with limited to no do-it-yourself skills. All that’s required is to unroll and attach the binding tape to the desired floor area, than once that’s in positions, peel off the backing strip and secure the rug or mat in its intended position for a rock-solid hold.

3M, Henkel, and Intertape Polymer offer a range of binding tapes and glues to stick most interior and exterior carpet types. Some of the favored carpet bonding agents includes -

A semi-permanent or permanent interior roll of carpet tape often comes in a tear-resistant and resilient cloth construction with an ability to secure all sized carpets for a secure hold, even those in the most used areas, including the living room and hallway.

A fiberglass carpet tape is designed for bonding exterior surfaces, such as jute-backed carpets, woven polypropylene, rubber or foam, and comes with a hardwearing binding agent to stand-up to high traffic and moisture areas - as a result of its ability to endure damp conditions.

Carpet tapes offer a long-term and simple application approach to bond on a variety of flooring surfaces, such as those to vinyl, wooden, or ceramic, and gives a sufficient hold for even the most high-traffic of areas.

It’s so much fun to decorate a child’s bedroom. The play of colors and designs just bring out the child in anyone. Everything looks so cute!

Boys are becoming much more opinioned about how they would like to decorate their bedroom. Also, decorating a child’s room allows the parents to freely express creativity. OK, it is also about reminiscing the pastimes and freedom of their own childhoods.

The color trends for boys have changed. Navy and red are now outdated. The new classic colors for boys are brown and green.

This is your boy’s chance to tell mommy what he wants in his room. Decorate according to his preferred theme or something that reflects his favorites. Is it aircraft-inspired, music oriented, Peter Pan’s hometown, island getaway or under the sea? If your son wants a certain theme, make him happy and give in to his request. Think of it as artistic expression. Below are more themes you can consider:

Try the bug theme. Most boys love bugs. They are forever digging in the dirt, hoping to find a bug to show Mom and Dad. Perfect accessories include a frog lamp, framed pictures of insects, and netting in the corner of the room.

Auto racing is another favorite among boys. What little boy doesn’t love the sound of a roaring racecar? In fact, they mimic the noise all the time! With a car bed, black and white checkered flag, posters and narrow shelving to display their own car collection, a boy is set to race.

Animals are everywhere even the extinct ones in children’s memory. They learn about them in school, hence it’s not surprising that a lot of kids are fascinated with two, four or multi-legged living organisms (humans not counted). Decorate with animal prints, miniature figures, artworks and big stuffed toys. Your son will love the transformation from ordinary bedroom to a zoo right in his own home. Get ready with a steady supply of fruit juice for his friends who’ll be coming over.

What is outer space like? This can be easily replicated in a boy’s room. Wall borders, linens, walls painted dark blue and rocket headboard complete the look. Remember the first science fair project you made? It probably was a model of the solar system. Make one using paints and varying sizes of Styrofoam craft balls to represent the planets - a totally fun project for all!

A very popular boy’s theme is sports. Whatever sport he is interested in, use the equipment and athletes to help you decorate the room. A baseball lamp, a soccer ball pillow, a basketball-printed bed sheet, a tennis ball-colored beanbag or posters of his favorite hockey players will express one of his joys in life.

If he is an artist, use his own artworks as the room’s decorations. They will look awesome as wall hangings or framed and placed neatly on a table or shelves. Make his bedroom his own art gallery. What a thrilling way for him to see a future of opening his own exhibit someday. And a great way to practice too.

Area rugs are also a way for a boy to express his individuality. Involving the child with most of the purchases makes him invested in the process. The same should be done when purchasing the area rugs. Get his input about what colors and textures he loves. There should be consideration about which types of rugs are not only durable, but easy to clean. Does the rug compliment the theme or colors in the room?

Your son will have a blast hanging out in a newly decorated bedroom. Perhaps his taste will change soon, perhaps not yet. The crucial point is that he will love his bedroom until the time he has to move out and be independent. Tastes and preference change over time and so will room decorating. As with raising children, enjoy the now and cherish each moment. They grow up so fast that thinking way too much ahead makes you miss the precious seconds of who they are now. Happy decorating!

Keep up to date with Interior Decorating trends and enhance your home with boys area rugs.

Bohemian is defined as an unconventional lifestyle; does not live by society’s norm. For me, bohemian brings to mind ultra-creative and artistic people like writers and painters who do things for art’s sake. I see images of a shabby chic for a bohemian design, one that may not be as linear and organized as other styles but nonetheless extremely attractive for its “free and full life” impression.

Flea markets and garage sales are the ideal places to shop if you want to use a bohemian theme. These outlets sell used and mostly old furnishings, perfect for creating a bohemian look. Any piece that caught your heart but needs some tweaking can be remedied by slip covers. Because brand new is not exactly bohemian, you can use faded tones so there’s still the touch of the bohemian or shabby look.

Applying a bohemian theme opens chances for you to use as many artworks and decorations as you wish, no matter how queer they may seem. It’s best to use a light or neutral color for the walls so you can be as bold in hanging artworks. This way, there is less risk of clashing unwanted colors. Adding colors, especially brighter ones is easy. You can incorporate vivid shades in accessories and even in trims and baseboards on the walls.

Flooring is a very open proposition for this shabby chic look because just about anything goes. Wooden floors though, are some of the more popular choices for the look. Area rugs are a good touch to add, not just because they break up the color monotone of the floor but also because they lend a homier feel to the room. It’s that comfortable, at-home look that you’re after, and that’s exactly what area rugs can give.

If you have old furnishings or your folks have some stuff from the days past that they no longer use, this is the perfect time to bring the things out. The antique-looking and old-fashioned stuff will add an authentic bohemian lifestyle feel to your home. Great pieces are chairs, tables, cabinets, lighting fixtures, drawers and mirrors.

If decorating is all about looking good, the shabby chic style is looking good the ugly way. Now don’t get me wrong. It’s not literally ugly. The eccentricity is enough to make this theme attractive. Bohemian or shabby chic is about effortlessly looking good. Comfort is key and fun is in mind. Bold colors, loud prints, conspicuous furnishings and perhaps branches for flowers are all about artistic beauty. They describe the bohemian style - unconventionally beautiful.

If you found this information about Interior Decorating helpful, then you are bound to adore these contemporary rugs.

Housework is the hard work for all of the housewives. But if you learn the little tips in household cleaning, you can do it much more efficiently. Salt is the seasoning that you use for almost every meal. Other than the seasoning function, salt can also be used for household cleaning.

When there are dusts and debris on your carpet, you will use vacuum cleaner to suck them up. If you get a red wine stain on your carpet, the vacuum cleaner probably cannot help. But, you can go to the kitchen and get some salt. Sprinkle the salt onto the stain and wait for 15 to 20 minutes. Then you can get some vinegar to mix with water to form the solution. Add the solution to the salt to clean the stain.

Salt not only cleans your carpet, it can also remove the rust on all of equipments and tools. Make a paste with salt, water and baking soda. Use this paste to apply onto your rusting tools. Leave the tools under the sun until the paste has been dried up. Then remove the paste and clean the tool with a brush or a clean rug.

I like white toilet and sink as they give me the feeling of cleanliness. But I think it is actually most troublesome to keep the white toilet and sink clean and out of stains. Try use the mixture of salt and turpentine to be your stain remover. Smear this stain remover onto the toilet or sink for 15 minutes. Then use a wet sponge to clean up the toilet and the stain remover. You will find a new toilet and sink.

Wooden table can be elegant and durable. But sometimes you just damage the table surface with the hot plates and saucepan. To save your wooden table, you can use the mixture of salt and salad oil. Smear the mixture over the damaged areas with a soft cloth. Wait until it is nearly dry and then clean up with a soft rug. You will find that your beautiful wooden table has come back.

If you have furniture or decoration that is made of bronze, salt can also help your cleaning. Mix the salt, flour and vinegar into a pasty mixture. Use a cleaning rug to smear the mixture onto the furniture or decoration surface. Wait for an hour and use a clean rug to wipe clean and polish.

If you shinny bronze furniture or decoration shine no more, you can also try salt. Soak several pieces of lemon into the salt solution. Use the soaked lemon to rub your bronze furniture or decoration. Finally rinse with water and you will immediately see how shinny they are.

Learn everything about cleaning at vacuum cleaners

We rest, sleep, relax and prepare for the day in this private haven we call our bedroom. Day in and day out, we see our bedroom. Two possible things can happen - we might get immune to its look that we would hardly notice its interior no matter how good or bad it is. Or we might get bored with the same look it has had for the last few years. Both are not good. One reflects indifference while the other shows a lack of interest. So what’s the plan of action? A bedroom makeover!

Who needs Donald Trump if you could transform your bedroom on your own creative self? Who needs the Wynn, Shangri-la, Four Seasons and Hilton hotels anyway?

Remove clutter - First of all, remove all the small items that clutter your bedroom leaving just the bed and may be your empty wardrobe behind. Discard all unwanted, outdated clothes, books, etc that crowd the bedroom. Once you clean the wardrobe inside out you can compartmentalize each item that has to go in to different sections.

Change your bedroom’s look in an instant with a new paint. Ever noticed how a new hair color changes a person’s look? It’s the same with a living space. A new color for your bedroom will give it the makeover it needs. Do you want your room to look cozier? Happier? Vibrant? Soothing? Consider the ambiance you wish to have and base your color from it.

Matching curtains, counterpanes and rugs - Check out matching curtains with big floral prints, with matching self-color bed sheets and rugs to accentuate the room. Changing the angle of the bed would give you a different perspective. A small rug placed at the side of your bed would give your feet a soft landing when you wake up every morning.

How do you claim a territory as your own? If animals smell their scent and country folks fence their area, as a homeowner, you decorate with personal things. Thus, your bedroom is your own turf not just because it’s where you sleep but also because of the presence of your belongings. In addition to your clothes and other necessities, add decorative items that reflect you like photos, memorabilia, collectibles, gifts and other significant knick-knacks.

Side table and shelves: If you don’t have extra place in your house, such as a study room, make a study area consisting of a long table to also accommodate a computer, a chair and also your favorite books. If running short of space, a couple of shelves on the wall will not be bad, but will allow you to be more organized and at the same time give you leg space. You could also put your personal items over there.

Remember to make use of your favorite things. In doing so, you’ll be housed in a bedroom that gives you the tingly feeling that can be described as happiness.

Bedroom Design has never been this easy with these rugs. Be sure to take a look at this colored flokati rugs for the latest information.

Do you love the feel of the ocean breeze gently blowing across your face as you bask in the sun’s gentle rays? Have you ever dreamed of spending the night on the beach, staring up at the stars and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves?

You feel closer to nature and you bask more in its beauty when you are surrounded by the endless sea, sand and sky. If you are one of the many beach-lovers who dream of having an abode by the ocean, you can step closer to your dream by utilizing lighthouses as home decorations. Without actually building a seaside retreat (not yet, anyway), you can create a beautiful beach house with some decorative elements that are easy to use.

Changing your house’s color or motif into a beach shade is the first step. What color reminds you of the beach? Is it the blue and green of the ocean? The whiteness of the sand? The pink and orange tint of the sky? The mixed dyed colors of the beach blankets or the monotone brights of a boat’s sail? Anything that in a snap brings to mind the beach is the color for you. Of course, blue and green are the safest bets, but mixing bright colors can instantly give a summer beach vibe. Contrasting shades also have impressive results such as a dark wall paired with light decorations.

A lighthouse is a common fixture of the sea. Having miniature lighthouses as displays in a room will complete the beach theme of your place. There are also materials with lighthouses designs that are just as effective in giving off a seaside feel to your home. Examples are tapestries, painting and photos of lighthouses.

Some people decorate their lighthouse rooms with souvenirs collected on family vacations. Take a trip to the coastline and tour several lighthouses to get some great ideas and photographs. You could have a family portrait taken in front of a lighthouse. This makes a great personal accent. Let your children collect seashells to display in a large glass vase. Create a scrapbook of your lighthouse exploration and leave it out on the coffee table for guests to enjoy.

Don’t forget to use a lot of texture. The beach itself is rich with different textures, such as the roughness or the softness of the sand, the smoothness of the seashells and the coarseness of stones. Don’t be afraid to be bold with textures. There are various materials that you can use to help you with your beach theme. Furniture made of bamboo, wood or wicker accented with satin, velvet or cotton fabrics is an effective combination of contrasting textures. Try to also place some plants and flowers that can add a beach look to your place.

Another way to add texture and appeal is to use area rugs. Beach-inspired designs and colors are ideal accessories to any room. Soft and thick fabrics are perfect for a beach house. Go with bright colors that remind you of the beach and complement the entire room by placing the area rugs strategically in various spaces. Every time you walk into your house, it will always seem like the water and the sand are just a few steps outside your door.

Perhaps one of the most beautiful rugs on the market is the ever famous Persian rug. These rugs are known for not only their beauty but also for their longevity. These rugs are handmade, that includes the dyes that are placed into the fibers to change the colors. With the addition of a Persian rug in a room you will make any room look elegant.

The Persian rug came from what is now Iran, being made well over half a millennium ago for the first time. At that time it was not called a Persian rug, but a carpet, a Payryk. Though not the same as today’s Persians still these carpets had an amazing 232 knots per inch.

Business boomed for the next millennium and, by the 16th century, much change had happened in the preferences of carpet buyers in the region. Depictions on carpets grew fewer and rarer, with more buyers preferring to get abstract and geometric patterns instead. The best known Persian carpet, the classical style Ardabil, came from this period and featured a radial arabesque design and a poetic inscription.

Size is a very important factor for Persian rugs, and a formal convention is used for them. Qalicheh are those rugs that measure up to six feet by four feet, while Qalii is anything larger than the Qalicheh dimensions. A separate class, Kilim, is used for rugs produced by nomadic groups that live between Southeast Europe and Pakistan.

As stated above a true Persian is woven by hand, and it is a very long process. Imagine a rug that is huge can take years to make. The base of a Persian is made up of wefts that will pass through a warp to form the bottom of the rug. Than lose knots of thread will be passed through and attached to warps that are adjacent. This is how the elaborate designs appear on the rugs. These rugs now have up to 550 knots per every square inch.

Weaving a Persian rug can be a long and painstaking process. Depending on the size and quality of the rug being made, the piece could take anywhere from several weeks to a few years to complete. Every Persian rug starts out with wefts passing through a warp at the bottom to form a base. Loose knots of colored thread are then attached to adjacent warps, creating the elaborate details visible on rugs. Once done, the end of the warp becomes the fringes, which can be finished off in a braid or tassels. Rugs made by hand can have anywhere from 16 to as many as 550 knots per square inch.

These Persian rugs are sure to remain a classic item for many in their homes. The art has been passed on from generation to generation and will continue to go on.

Persian rugs remain a premium and classic item for decor, not just because they’re attractive themselves but ebecause of the centuries of heritage that they represent. No matter what theme or motif you’re doing in your home, a Persian rug will definitely fit in - and stand out - among your decor.

Open up those windows, Spring is here! Aren’t we all waiting for spring to come after a long winter? There isn’t anyone who isn’t delighted when ’spring has sprung’. It is lovely to see the birds chirping, the leaves back on the tree with flowers beginning to bloom and the sun shining. It’s time to pack those woolen clothes, the thick blankets, the woolen carpets away in the cupboard or basement and air out the rooms.

Follow these easy-to-do steps for a spring home decor:

1. Remove all clutter: Put away all the unwanted things in the house that you have been collecting throughout the winter, remove the thick blinds and curtains and put lighter, airy curtains with big, bright prints. Cover the floor with a beautiful rug in the center with prints in red and pink. If your sofa is looking drab get covers made with bright colors matching the walls and furniture. Change the angle of things around the house to give a different look to your house. Take out the thick blankets from the bed, put a pastel, floral bed cover. At the end of all this hard work you will surely be satisfied with your creativity.

2. Fresh is in - use fresh flowers: Now is the time to get in fresh flowers - handpicked from your garden would be lovely. Flowers add color and beauty to the room. A corner plant won’t be so bad to get a touch of green into the house. A centerpiece of fresh flowers like tulips, white baby’s breadth and dark green leaves in a nice flat bowl, placed on your dining table, would add beauty to the dining area.

3. Use flowers. Spring is the flower season, so why not use flowers to the maximum? Put fresh flowers in a vase, display potted plants or hanging plants and use floral prints for your bed cover or pillow covers. Flowers also add color to a room aside from the natural feel it brings. The scent too is something to want.

4. Deodorize. Your home has been enclosed for the past months so opening your windows and allowing in some fresh air is amazing. Add in the fresh flowers and your home will truly smell like spring morning everyday. Lighting scented candles with flower fragrances intensify the spring ambiance. Fresh fruits placed in a bowl can make your kitchen delicious-smelling.

5. Clean up your outdoors: This is the time to enjoy entertaining guests in the garden or patio. Its time for barbecues, sit outs and parties. Organize your garden settings, clean up, grow more plants, put benches, a swing and then get your barbecue grill out. It won’t be long since your guests drop in.

So, what do you think? Are you up for some spring redecorating adventure? As for me, I’m ready to start like right now! In fact, I’ve chosen lavender and peach for my new color theme. I’m also thinking about daisies and sunflowers for my flower decors. I can’t wait!

The ideas are endless for decorating a child’s bedroom. Inspiration is everywhere from cartoon characters, fairy tales, animals to sports, action heroes and nature. What makes decorating more enjoyable is when the child is able to share his ideas and contribute to beautifying his/her bedroom. Below are the Top 5 decorating ideas for children’s room:

One idea for decorating a girl’s bedroom is the princess or royalty room. There’s no need for big space or grand furnishings. With key accents like satin and lace fabrics, plush seats, dramatic lighting fixtures, fancy jewels and the choice of color of your little girl, she can have her palace-like bedroom. What’s amazing is that she can sleep like her favorite fairy tale princess. Looking at storybooks might give her some ideas on what she would like to put in her room.

Dinosaurs - this is a popular pick among boys. The idea of being in prehistoric times is very exciting for these young lads. Earth colors rule this theme alongside dinosaur miniatures, stuffed toys and posters.

Other decorating themes include the beach theme, nature or outdoor design, sports, pilot or sailor style and ballerina’s room among many others.

Decorating your children’s room is all about fun. So displaying their artworks is a great idea. They will have their own masterpiece as wall decors. Incorporating their favorite things and colors will also make them happy everyday. Make sure that there is enough storage compartment for keeping their things.

For a child who enjoys a room that is a little more peaceful, try a beach themed room. Light blue or green walls will create a serene effect. White bed linens will make your child think that they are sleeping on the clouds! Try a neutral color rug in the room to give it more or a cozy feel. If you wanted to add a little flare you might try hanging a surfboard on the wall. A few large potted plants will make the room feel as if you have brought the outdoors in.

Remember when decorating a child’s room that it is important to be practical. Use rugs to cover areas of the floor that tend to get dirty easily. Place a wastebasket in the room and let the child be responsible for emptying it on trash day. Shelving can be helpful in children’s rooms as well, since children tend to collect a lot of trinkets. The shelves will help to keep their treasures off the floor and will give the child a place to display their most prized possessions.

Our best hint for Children’s Interior Decorating, is to use area rugs - and the childrens bedroom rugs will suit any modern furnishings.
